printspace dundee,  on High Street, Newport on Tay, is a part time venture owned by photographer and printmaker Sheila Borthwick, assisted by photographer husband Alan. We will be showcasing our own work as well as several local guest artists.and will also be carrying a range of gifts and jewellery sourced from small independent makers. We aim for a design emphasis on our products.

We have a selection of greeting cards, some handmade and many by our artists. We aim to carry a better class of card than the many card shops and garden centres..

Galleries rarely feature photography or printmaking, so we intend to fill a gap in the local market here. Photography is now generally recognised as an art form and we intend to feature high quality work with occassional guest exhibitors. We prefer all work to be either printed traditionally as silver gelatin or by archival inks on fine art papers giving archival permanence. Printmaking is a long and involved process often created in stages and editions are low numbered and signed or monoprints. If more information is required, please email and we can forward an explanation of techniques. We like to say most work is "by the hand of the artist".
